I have
been involved in the world of photography for over 15 years. I studied
at Ryerson Polytechnical University in Toronto, majoring in Still
Photography. Immediately following graduation I started my documentary
career in Iraq after the Gulf War. A few years later I was given
the opportunity to return to The Middle East and document women's
lives for a project on women's rights. My documentary work has been
exhibited at the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography, and
across Canada.
My
photographs reflect my passion and instinct for documenting the
ordinary in an extraordinary fashion. My work transcends photojournalism
in that it does not merely tell a story but invites its viewers
in to create their own stories.
As
a wedding photographer it is my desire to bring these once in a
lifetime memories of your special day always to heart and mind.
I approach my weddings by narrating the wedding day story through
artistic and candid photographs that reveal the spontaneous expression
and reflect the mood of the day.
I tell
your story with a mixture of B&W and colour, available light
whenever possible and flash when necessary.
My
style of photography is to gently control the formal posing, allowing
for spontaneity and humour, and unobtrusively capturing the candid
moments. By doing this I produce images that genuinely reflect the
love and happiness that you and your families share on your wedding
day.
